PAMU - Arcade Mode - Furture Plans


Today i added a couple more options to the main menu.

Survival - Arcade - Endurance.

The Survival mode is the one you are already familiar with. 

In Arcade mode the player starts with a little more HP, every skill starts at level 1 and you can also continue after you lose your lives. The downside is if you do use a continue, your score takes a major hit.

I feel this mode will give people that are fresh to the game a little more of an advantage and decrease the learning curve. 

Arcade mode is almost fully implemented but I need to do more testing of all the features.

Endurance mode. This is really a placeholder at the moment. This is more of a "hard enemies only" mode as it stands right now where you don't fight any of the basic enemies. So no crows, no bush, no slime, no flying eyeball. More trees, more minotaurs, more goblins, more mushrooms, etc. 

it's really just a concept at the moment because I'm not sure if that's exactly how I want to implement it. 

More levels! This is still 100% going to happen. I really want a minimum of 5 levels at least 4 of them having enemies unique to those level so probably another 12 enemies.

At the moment I am trying to balance everything that currently exists and look for bugs or glitches that could improve the experience. After that I'll make some more forward progress.

Oooof, nah this build isnt ready yet :P I'll try to have it up by 5pm cst.  8/12


New build number will be somewhere around 1.1.8.0

Looks like I'll be playing it tomorrow morning then! Can't wait for it.

Awesome! Im going to start testing everything shortly so it will be up later today. I don't think there is anything game breaking in the build. I guess i'll find out soon.

I made it live a couple days ago. I'm almost to the point where i am ready to add in a few more levels. I feel bad because in survival mode at the end of level 2 the player is just starting to become powerful. I want to utilize that and let the player feel that in level 3.

Awesome! I'll give it a play today - unless you're feeling nice and want to add in those levels!

I have some bugs and code clean up i need to do first. theres a bug when if you die right after you kill an enemy and you pick up the hp while dead you can die again while waiting for respawn;. theres also a couple more bugs that effect the player i need to fix.


once i have a more stable build ill start adding new levels. maybe a few days

I'm actively working on a stage 3 but its more of a lightning round. At the end of level 2 you are level 9 and the max level is 10.


After that I'm going to try and make things interesting in the following levels.
